The acrylic paste is moldable to any desired shape and will not drip or run from the repair area before you can cure it making especially suitable for edges of countertops or vertical surfaces. To prepare the damaged area for repair, completely clean the affected area and allow it to dry. Using masking tape tape off the surrounding area. Make sure the damaged area is completely dry before proceeding to the next step.
Remove the cap on the lca applicator, then, gently twist to apply the acrylic paste. Fill the damaged area completely with a slight dome over the top. Apply a curing strip over the top of the paste, this pushes away excess lca and molds a nice flat surface. Use one of the craft sticks to help spread out the paste.
Using the LED curing light, focus the light as close to the curing strip and paste as possible without touching it. You need to cover the entire repair area including the edges to ensure that the paste is completely cured. This step will take three minutes for small repairs and about five minutes for larger ones.
It is normal for some sticky residue to remain on the surface after it has completely hardened. The sticky residue should be removed with acetone or alcohol. The polish paste in the kit will also help remove some of the stickiness. Lightly sand the repair using the provided sand paper. Do not use any other sand paper or abrasives to sand the repair. The repair should be level with the surrounding surface and smooth to the touch when complete.
After removing the masking tape use the polish block and follow each of the four steps. Following the sequence will be sure to produce a high gloss finish. Use a small application of the polish paste as a final step and buff using micro fiber cloth. Polish to a desired finish. Your finished repair will be invisible, permanent and safe for food prep areas.
